Position Summary:
As the Supply Planning Manager you are responsible for leading and optimizing the designated Site/Coman supply planning department, processes, systems, cadence, and analytics to: (a) Drive cross-functional collaboration, (b) Capture key business and supply planning insights, and (c) Create integrated, aligned, stable, and agile supply and inventory plans to efficiently meet the Site/Coman fill rates, productivity and service level targets. You will partner closely with the Plant Manager, site Leadership Team, Schedulers, Commodity Managers and/or external suppliers to achieve performance metrics and prioritize/escalate planning challenges, creating countermeasures in order to achieve KPI targets, conducting root cause analysis as needed to identify systemic issues.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create/maintain Vendor/Site production requirements to ensure inventory levels and on time customer delivery
- Drive plans to achieve department annual goals and KPIs
- Collaborate with Procurement, Demand and Inventory to develop/adjust inputs for production planning and material management flow
- Escalate information about shortages or excesses of inventory levels to Supply Leader and Plant Manager
- Understand future capacity, supply constraints affecting production & lead development of recovery plans with a 1-6 month forward looking view
- Identify and escalate the need to break into the frozen plan
- Own purchasing for the site and partner with Procurement in resolution of material deliveries issues from vendors to ensure production plans are executed and aligned with demand
- Responsible for feedback and identification of counter measures for any PSD and CFR issues and /or inventory risk, with communication within the network
- Participate in the alignment of demand/supply plan to Operations and the S&OP Process
- Lead presentations to varying audiences regarding team initiatives, training and issue resolution
- Manage designated team including the hiring of new talent, conducting performance reviews/conversations, creating development and succession plans, and providing regular feedback
- Other duties may be assigned as required
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree or several years' of significant experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of planning experience - inclusive of material requirements purchasing, planning and scheduling in a process manufacturing environment
- 2+ years' experience leading supply planning activities and a team of direct reports
- APICS Certification a plus
- Understanding of manufacturing resource planning and material requirements planning
- Knowledge and experience with ERP planning tools (SAP a plus)
- Advanced MS Excel (e.g., using formulas) and strength with PC Programs (Word & PPT)
- Experience managing master data maintenance processes
- Strong problem solving and statistical skills using quality tools, with ability to draw business planning conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Quantitative, analytical and problem solving ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to lead and work as effective team member
- Proactive and results oriented within a fast moving dynamic environment
