The ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Senior Financial Analyst will partner cross-functionally with both the Public Financial Reporting team as well as Corporate Sustainability team to enhance and modernize collection processes, documentation and technology solutions for ESG disclosures used in external financial and nonfinancial reporting. ESG reporting includes both the upcoming SEC reporting requirements as well as our routine voluntary reporting to provide transparency on how Ecolab contributes to sustainable development, and this innovative role provides a unique opportunity to make meaningful changes to the processes to collect, review, document and report ESG information for timely, reliable and consistent reporting.

What You Will Do:
- Assist with the development and implementation of improved data management procedures, monitoring, and collection of inputs to ensure the accuracy and completeness of global ESG data.
- Work closely with the Corporate Sustainability team to support process owners and providers of ESG information to enhance internal controls over both financial and non-financial information.
- Formally document and maintain a companywide narrative over the collection, review and disclosure of ESG data inclusive key assumptions and estimations as well as applicable SOX controls.
- Assist in the drafting of new ESG required SEC disclosures in the company's 10-K
- Serve as a key contact to the company's third party auditor as they request support and execute their routine audit procedures over ESG disclosures.
- Act as a liaison between the Public Financial Reporting team, Accounting & Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Internal Audit and Global Supply Chain teams on all things ESG.
- Prepare and/or deliver periodic update reports for leadership.
- Participate in research, benchmarking and other activities to provide strategic insights to strengthen internal controls.
- Assist with external and/or commercial reporting and survey-related activities
- Evaluate and integrate technology solutions where appropriate to support strengthening controls around ESG information.
- Conduct special projects to enhance controls and reporting practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Process and detail oriented
- CPA
- SEC / SOX reporting experience
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management consolidation software and Excel retrieve
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Familiarity with concepts of ESG/sustainability disclosure, including materiality, legal implications and governance
- Knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Task Forceon Climate-Related Disclosures (TCFD), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB),Climate Disclosure Project (CDP), etc.
