Job Purpose:

We are looking for a driven professional with a passionate and inspiring leadership style to join our team as a Senior Retail Manager. You will serve multiple retail boutique locations with responsibility to optimize team performance, drive store sales, service and operational results through collaborative, respectful, agile, determined, and driven leadership practices with team members and business partners.

The approximate pay range for this position is $90,000 to $103,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation my vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.

Responsibilities:

PEOPLE
  • Manage performance for direct & indirect reports, promptly addressing performance issue, recognizing performance excellent, and creating development plans with quarterly progress reports
  • Lead training & provide ongoing feedback & coaching, delivering the ultimate customer experience product knowledge, selling skills, & operational standards
  • Conduct orientation, train, and coach new Boutique Managers
  • Abide by Workforce Planning requirements for scheduling hourly employees, respecting municipal, state, and federal laws in addition to Nestle USA.
  • Support management in providing advice & counsel to employees regarding employee relations, personnel practices, policy, and employment laws.
  • Uphold Nespresso culture & values to sustain an engaged team environment
  • Effectively communicate with all home store employees & cluster Managers through Weekly Touch-bases, Monthly One-on-One's, Team Meetings, etc.
  • Show empathy, care, & integrity in all team interactions
  • Ensure E-learnings (e.g., iLearn) are completed as assigned

SALES & SERVICE
  • Exemplify & drive team performance as it aligns with the Nespresso customer experience
  • Evaluate Boutiques' weekly, monthly & YTD performance & support management in motivating teams to achieve targets & implement improvements per individual store needs
  • Control labor costs, supplies, & relevant expenses using available reporting in partnership with District Manager
  • Lead management, providing guidance to Store Managers, Assistant Store Manager & Team Leaders, to ensure team members are meeting or exceeding daily/monthly/yearly sales targets through coaching & training
  • Delegate projects and tasks to management and team members equitably based on their skills, performance, & PDP needs

OPERATIONS & SAEFTY
  • Ensure Retail Operations Procedures & Best Practices are adhered to in all locations i.e., Standard Operation Procedures, safe working conditions, cash operation procedures, stock/inventory management, payment management, loss prevention, return policies & customer database
  • Adhere to Nestle Safety Health & Environmental & Food Safety Policy & Procedures.
  • Delegate Safety & Quality responsibilities, promoting a safety conscious culture
  • Ticket & Escalate IT challenges in all locations, supporting management with troubleshooting
  • Own compliance with all Boutique opening & closing procedures & support management accordingly
  • Follow all Federal, State & City Laws

MULTIUNIT RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create monthly business and people plans with Store Managers that will elevate the business; drive sales & service, hospitality, staffing, retention & engagement, succession
  • Ensure home store is running smoothly while having an appropriate support and visit cadence for other units; always focused on enhancing higher level thinking, not day to day business
  • Upskill and develop other and self
  • OR an operating area and execute as needed, that will support and improve the business

Requirements and Skills:

Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred
Professional experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of extensive professional experience in Retail required (all additional experience in hospitality and up-market hotel, tourism, etc. is a plus).
  • Experience in customer complaint management
  • Experience in project management processes & change management
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in people management of various levels (including other people managers), motivation & development of direct reports required
  • Ability to work shifts, days, nights, weekends & holidays
  • Travel required
