DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications in an Agile development environment using Java, GWT, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Scala, and Play; run applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry; develop microservices using Spring framework; build Graph APIs using MS-graph; test Java APIs using Java mocking frameworks; use RabbitMQ for application queuing; deploy applications using WebLogic; access applications using Azure AD SSO; write automation scripts using Python; perform database programming using SQL, Oracle, JPA, and EJB; create architecture diagrams using UML; implement CI/CD practices using GoCD; perform code coverage using Eclemma Sonarqube; store code using Github; track incidents using App Dynamics; use ELK Stack for searching and analytics; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing software in an Agile development environment using Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; testing Java APIs using Java mocking frameworks; performing database programming using SQL, Oracle, and JPA; creating architecture diagrams using UML; of which three (3) years include developing microservices using Spring Framework; developing software using GWT; running applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry; using RabbitMQ for application queuing; deploying applications using WebLogic; accessing applications using single sign-on (SSO); performing database programming using EJB; implementing CI/CD practices; performing code coverage using Sonarqube; storing code using Github; tracking incidents using App Dynamics; and using ELK Stack for searching and analytics.
SALARY: $139,984.00 - $145,000.00 per year
