Position Summary

As an Expert Process Engineer you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and coordinate Engineering design and execution covering all aspects of material handling and process unit operations as applied in capital projects for wet and dry pet foods, pet treats, and cat litter. Technical expertise to include design aspects of food processing technology, in terms of production systems, quality/sanitation, system, and equipment design and application.
  • Provide Engineering design and review for capital projects or Zone standards including detailed phases of the engineering work and field support.
  • Coordination of work by outside consultants and suppliers and an understanding of principles and practices to perform engineering functions.
  • Produce engineering deliverables for medium size projects scopes including Process Flow Drawings (PFD's), Basic Process Operation (Theory of Operation), P&ID's, Equipment Specification and Procurement, and Commissioning/Startup Support.
  • Work with engineering designers to approve 3D models and layout drawings.
  • Creation of department technical guidelines, standards, and specifications in the area of specialty.
  • Designated subject matter expert divisionally in multiple areas of wet and dry systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 7+ years of packaging equipment, project management, process design engineering, or related experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $110,000 to $152,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
