The Global Business Services (GBS) - Accounts Payable Manager, is a member of the North America GBS Accounts Payable Leadership Team leading a departmental and outsourced team staff responsible for processing North America accounts payable invoices that include Ecolab's largest divisions. The Accounts Payable Manager will direct daily work of the Accounts Payable processing team in Eagan and a Business Process Outsource team in India. This role is responsible for monitoring and driving improvement for SLA's and KPI's as agreed upon by the business, providing root cause analysis and risk mitigation action plans where gaps exist or may arise. Additionally, this role will be responsible aligning with and providing expertise to a global, cross-disciplined team in support of transformation and continuous improvement projects for the Procure to Pay landscape. This position is located at our Schuman Campus in Eagan, MN.

What You Will Do
  • Work with AP Director and AP supervisory team to meet and exceed established AP KPI's and SLA's.
  • Drive increased invoice processing standardization across Direct materials, Indirect services, and Inbound freight through:
  • Executing process improvement initiatives to increase controls, improve KPI's, and reduce risk
  • Collaborate with business partners to enhance processes that generate inputs into Accounts Payable to streamline processing
  • Work with and lead outsourced India team to ensure delivery of KPI's and identify process improvements.
  • Lead root cause identification and solutioning efforts (internal and cross-functional) to mitigate and/or eliminate exception processes
  • Work with internal Ecolab associates to address AP Processing errors
  • Work directly with the AP vendor master/payment and helpdesk team on escalations, resolving barriers and streamlining internal AP processes
  • Ensure SOX and Internal Controls are effectively maintained
  • Resolve operational business and supplier escalations as delegated by management
  • Ensure daily operational reporting is properly executed. Review data to uncover gaps, initiate process improvements, and align on team priorities to drive enhanced KPI's
  • Support various process improvement initiatives as SME or core team member
  • Develop and execute appropriate analysis related to Accounts Payable Accruals
  • Support EBS deployments via attending solution confirmation workshops, support testing, lead change management efforts, collaborate on training, assist with cutover efforts and overall project support
  • Other duties as assigned or required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a business-related field
  • 3 years of work experience in a high-volume processing environment
  • 3 years of management and/or leadership experience
  • Previous experience working in SAP, preferably the FICO modules, or other large ERP system experience
  • No immigration sponsorship available for this role
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a high-volume Shared Services environment
  • Previous project management experience
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills (English)
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting concepts
