Nestle USA, Inc. seeks a Finance Co-Pilot in Arlington VA

Duties: Conduct financial analysis including detailed event level planning, promotional spend review, forecasting, reporting, and ad-hoc trade analysis, with an emphasis on maintaining sound financial controls around trade budget spending. Work proactively with Category Strategy Development (CSD)Team during annual planning, ensuring efficient Commercial Action Plans and allocation of trade to the different retailers (accounts). Ensure promotional events are properly set-up by Customer Account Manager (CAMs) based on contracts and yearly plans on a timely basis in the trade management system (Osprey). Take part in monthly Business Review process, including analytical review of monthly/annual forecasts and promotional plan performance leading to objective, timely and fact-based communication of volume/trade opportunities and gaps to the Division's finance and sales team. Meet with CSDs/ Finance Directors to understand variances to goals, on both sales and trade. Communicate results and work with sales and field finance team to develop solutions to ensure goals are met. Review sales and trade rate objectives (via weekly reports) to analyze and provide variance explanation, including understanding implications on customer profitability. Review Unauthorized Deductions and work closely with field team to enable payback. Perform financial modeling and scenario planning to analyze cross-functional business results and opportunities. Act as SME and work stream owner for major projects (Trade System Redesign, Integration of Acquisitions, Devise Price Increases) and assist in account specific activities. Domestic travel up to 25% of time for Planning Sessions, Design Workshops and Team Meetings.

Salary: $143810.43 - $153810.43

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or in finance management in the Consumer Packaged Goods ("CPG") industry. Required experience must include 5 years of experience in each of the following:
  • Experience with Excel and SAP including BW;
  • Experience with data management and data analysis;
  • Experience illustrating insights from data through statistics or data visualization ;
  • Experience with Sales Analysis and Sales trade management;
  • Experience in finance and accounting;
  • Experience in communicating financial and technical concepts to experts and non-experts in the field.
Domestic travel required up to 25% of time for Planning Sessions, Design Workshops and Team Meetings.
