DUTIES: Contribute toward building new features for the various purchasing flows for Comcast; architect and build the infrastructure for Drools Workbench; develop RESTful APIs; plan, design, and develop new software and web applications, using J2EE, Python, JavaScript, AngularJS, AWS, and Node.JS following Agile development methodology; create micro-services with SpringBoot; load programs using Bootstrap; create and design webpages with HTML 5.0 and CSS; add, access, and manage databases using MySQL and Mongo DB; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; assist with training non-technical personnel; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; participate in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications; research, write and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; work with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and present and defend architectural, design and technical choices to internal audiences.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing RESTful APIs; developing software using J2EE, JavaScript, and Agile methodology; loading programs using Bootstrap; creating and designing webpages with HTML 5.0 and CSS; adding, accessing, and managing databases using MySQL and Mongo DB; of which one (1) year must include using Node.JS.
