Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Employment Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law, with expertise in advising clients on a wide range of employment-related matters. As an Employment Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in employment-related disputes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on employment law matters, including hiring practices, termination procedures, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and other related documents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation related to employment disputes.
  • Prepare and present legal arguments in court, administrative hearings, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop strategies for resolving complex employment law issues.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in employment law and share knowledge within the firm.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Employment Attorney or similar role, with a strong focus on employment law.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling employment-related disputes and litigation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines.
  • This role offers hybrid flexibility but would require the candidate to come onsite a couple days a week.
