POSITION OVERVIEW
The Associate will join Global Atlantics Business Finance Office in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in either Des Moines or Boston. This role collaborates with their business partners to provide critical analysis and business intelligence to execute on Global Atlantics strategic plan, improve organizational effectiveness, and drive analytical rigor across the company.This position will work closely with the Individual Business and multiple teams across the company to support business initiatives, ensure financial implications of business strategy are understood and financial pro-formas are used to support decision making.The role also coordinates the preparation, performs analysis, and presents earnings and capital forecasts for senior management to make strategic decisions. Specific responsibilities include:
- Support the preparation of recurring and ad-hoc presentations to senior management, including the Board of Directors around financial performance of business drivers and key metrics
- Synthesize a holistic story on business performance and facilitate a deeper understanding and tracking of business drivers relative to expectations.
- Track intra-quarter activity on emerging trends between quarterly financial close production cycles
- Act as collaborator with Reinsurance, Investment Accounting, Actuarial, Expense Management, Treasury, Tax, Risk and Finance regarding all financial information related to the business unit
- Partner with the Business to prepare, coordinate and execute on the Annual plan and quarterly forecasts
QUALIFICATIONS & NECESSARY SKILLS
- Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance or Accounting or a related field
- Very strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Excellent partnership and relationship building skills
- Sharp analytical / quantitative and technical abilities; must be proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Can prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
- Minimum 7yearsofexperience.Experiencein insurance and financial reporting is preferred.
- Basic understanding of corporate finance or insurance product concepts is a plus

Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City.The basesalaryrange posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.
Global Atlanticsbasesalaryrangeis determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantics totalcompensationpackage for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of thesalaryrange. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.Actualcompensationfor all roles will be based upon geographic location, workexperience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.Compensationfor our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.Thebase salaryrange for this role is $88,000 to $150,000.
