About this team
As a Sr. Business Analyst at Amplify, you'll work closely with clients to create both experience and technical requirements for rich features and functionality to support their customer's experiences. You'll work closely with client Product and Technology teams on product roadmaps created and managed according to the requirements in order to solve high priority business challenges. The Business Analyst team is organized, values research, great at facilitation, problem solving and bringing the right skillsets together to ensure we have aligned requirements to enhance our client's experience.

A day in the life

You'll work closely with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and Technology teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood. You'll be responsible for ensuring acceptance criteria is aligned, work closely with Architects to ensure system implications/dependencies are understood, and facilitate requirement workshops with Technology.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their needs, objectives, and requirements.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and applications to identify areas for improvement.
    • Translate business requirements into clear and concise documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decision-making.
    • Work closely with data architects and engineers to ensure the availability and accuracy of data required for analysis.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within existing business operations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement streamlined business processes.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, product/delivery teams, and technology leaders.
    • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and project goals.
  • Project Collaboration:
    • Support project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
    • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Develop and execute test plans to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to identify and resolve issues during testing phases.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of business analyst experience
  • Experience providing requirements for medium to large initiatives
  • Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience translating strategy into feature development roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keep the guests need at top of mind

Must Haves
  • Self starter, able to work independently as well as within a team
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.

We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions and do not hire employees at the highest point of the pay range, targeting around the 50th percentile of the range. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us. As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $150,000. The beginning salary range for this role is $80,000-$115,000 a year.
