Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising general accounting operations, taking ownership of accounting accuracy, reporting and process oversight. Utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices, the candidate will perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses.

Your responsibilities will also include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all company's accounting tasks.

We expect you to possess both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and forecasts. You should also have experience in managing accountants and junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounting best practices: Support the development and implementation of accounting procedures and processes. Supervise all internal accounting audits, controls and SOPs.
  • GL Accuracy: Take ownership of all TB accounts, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy.
  • Month-End close: Develop processes to oversee and manage the month end close process.
  • Support cash and treasury management.
  • Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets and expenditures.
  • Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team
  • Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
  • Review and analyze financial data and create reports on financial status based on the analysis results
  • Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to company's executives and senior management
  • Develop recommendations to optimize company's accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies
  • Support and consult company's personnel on accounting control procedures
  • Participate in department's goal setting activities and month-end and year-end close processes
  • Organize financial statements and budget preparation, accurately and timely
  • Support and oversee tax audits (both internal and external) and tax returns
  • Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
  • Work together with financial and accounting managers to optimize financial operations


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree In Accounting, CPA a plus.
  • 5+ years of relative industry experience.
  • Strong PC skills, specifically Excel and MS Office.
  • Experience with Accounting software, Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Excellent financial and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work independently using project management skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, with multiple priorities.
  • Previous e-commerce, 3PL or warehouse operations a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proven Business Acumen - Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability; Aligns work with strategic goals.
