Job Title: Physical Therapist
We are seeking a dynamic Physical Therapist who enjoys working in a challenging, team-oriented environment to fill a .9 position (36 hours/week). Hutchinson Health provides physical therapy services to inpatients and outpatients. Primary service lines include Orthopedic/Sports Medicine, Vestibular, Industrial Rehab, Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, and Pediatrics. Our 23 member team provides physical therapy, sports physical therapy services, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehab services, and more.
A current Minnesota PT license is required. Every sixth weekend inpatient rotation, and approximately one holiday per year are required. Position offers competitive wage and comprehensive benefits package. Pelvic Floor experience preferred. Opportunity to expand into various specialty areas. Job Summary:
Physical therapists are health care professionals who address the restoration of maximum function by evaluating and treating people with limitations resulting from disease or injury.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment planning, and treatment implementation to clients of all ages; addresses individual developmental, cognitive and physical needs, as well as cultural differences. Coordinates client care with other disciplines through good communication and intervention recommendations. Provides education, information, and training to clients, family, caregivers, and community to promote continuity of care, optimum therapeutic outcome, and community health. Maintains documentation and records of treatment performance to assure quality client care, meet regulatory and professional standards, and receive optimal reimbursement. Acts as a consultant to internal and external customers. Maintains education, knowledge, and training required to provide up-to-date, quality care to meet client case load and community needs and meet minimum state licensure requirements. Oversees PTAs, support staff, students, and volunteers. Participates in quality improvement and peer review to assure effective and efficient services. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
Current license as a Registered Physical Therapist is required by the Minnesota State Board of Physical Therapy. Current CPR certification required
Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Previous work experience as a staff physical therapist is desirable, but not required.
