Job Title: Registered Nurse (CVICU)
Location: New Brunswick, NJ
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the CVICU, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality and specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those who have undergone cardiac surgeries or interventions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The role involves monitoring patients closely, administering medications, managing ventilators, and providing emotional support to both patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
Provide constant, direct attention to those under your care.
Responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient's individual physician.
Monitor the condition of the patients and assess their needs to ensure they are healthy.
Administer medications, provide treatments according to physicians' orders, and monitor the patient's reactions.
Educate patients and families on health and treatment, current document progress, and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals involved.
Collaborate with physicians and other nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
Assist in planning further care and the discharge process.
Requirements:A minimum of 1 year of RN clinical experience in a Critical Care setting or completion of a Critical Care fellowship. 1 - 2 Years of Critical Care/Cardiovascular RN experience is strongly preferred.
Active RN license within the State of practice.
Current certifications (variable depending on the facility).
Able to make life-or-death decisions and remain calm in stressful situations.
Should be a team player but also able to work independently.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Passion for excellence in critical care medicine.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Basic computer knowledge.
Compensation: $40.00 - $70.00 per hour
