Position Summary

Plan and conduct product support work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems encountered.

Job Functions/ Duties (may be assigned other duties by management)

Work as a key resource in the Engineering department providing high quality engineering support for company products and services.

Manage multiple projects, taking responsibility for on time and on budget delivery of proven design solutions.

Perform analysis to verify effectiveness and suitability of proposed design solutions.

Exercise of judgment is required on details of work, in making selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

Generate equipment assembly, test, and other engineering procedures and contribute in test equipment design verification.

Lead or participate in dismantle, inspection, failure analysis if requested by quality assurance.

Compile engineering reports and present data where necessary to the management team.

Work within defined parameters to make decisions and apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity.

Resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Identify customer's requirement (technical/products problems, execution issues) and attend customer meetings (kick off, coordination review, close out etc.).

Lead internal design activities and technical decisions and participate in design reviews with the engineering team

Review technical documentation, bill of materials, procedures and their translations.

Manage and control the engineering hours allocated to the support requests.

Support fabrication of equipment including troubleshooting, product improvement, and product inspection.

Provide mentoring and training for new and current employees.

Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Actively promote safety process and report any safety issues to proper channels for action.

Qualifications/Education Requirements

Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Office and/or company specific software.

Knowledge of PTC WindChill.

In Depth Knowledge & Application of Industry Standards (API, ASME, ANSI...)

Good oral and written communication and analytical skills.

Must have experience handling multiple projects simultaneously with stringent deadlines, and working in an environment, which requires flexibility, innovation, superb customer service skills, and organization.

Requires knowledge of ESP (Electric Submersible Pump) systems and their components' designs, application principals, and failure modes.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology required or equivalent years of directly related experience.

Highly competent in production engineering, analysis, and testing roles.

10+ years of engineering experience required

CPR / AED and Electrical Safety Training

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Normal office environment and occasional exposure to plant environment during the course of normal job duties

Occasionally required to move about the facility

Occasional travel and On call required

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection, hard hat and safety shoes while in shop environment or on job site.
