The primary responsibilities of this role, Business Development Manager, Digital Pest Management for the Midwest Area, are to:
Develop national and regional sales plans and execute successfully and in line with business and budget expectation(s)
Direct Lead generation: Engage in industry events and activities, such as trade shows, meetings and association forums to secure potential leads. Seek active participation in speaking engagements and other industry committees
Indirect Lead generation: Develop a process of successfully harvesting leads from participating service provider's sales teams by discovering and identifying clients and key stakeholders in the food safety industry (i.e. food production, distribution, warehousing, etc.) as well as adjacent markets with a growing need on real-time data and enhanced service offerings
Customer Acquisition: Direct follow-up on active leads generated by the marketing efforts of the DPM team. Capability to validate, quantify and convert leads to active and participating customers
Drive sales and adoption of Digital Pest Management technology and service(s), through the promotion of new enhanced IPM service protocol in the food safety and adjacent industries. Do so through strategic account development and implementation of a well thought through & defined sales strategy
Support the execution, refinement and positioning of enhanced IPM protocol and digital transformation service strategy in the professional pest management marketplace
Develop and support relationships between the professional pest management industry and food safety industry. Create synergy and alignment when discovering mutual winning opportunities
Be responsible for refinement of a sound sales and marketing strategy resulting in sustainable, long term business growth
Identify market gaps and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and ever changing market to enable timely reaction to deviations in the market. Customer retention: Proactively monitor customer satisfaction and provide feedback to DPM team on areas for improvement to increase customer retention
Collaborate and help coordinate with CSM's (Customer Success Managers) and DPM marketing & development team to deliver customer and client feedback on system and service support
Create synergy and alignment with the core PPM business to drive sales and adoption of RMS and other DPM technology and services.
Candidate Must Have:
Bachelor's degree with ten plus years in service sales, and business development required. Individuals with a high school diploma and 15 years' of sound experience in sales plan execution, strategic sales planning and business development will be considered
Accredited through food safety and/or pest management industry programs, preferred
Sound experience and proven success in sales plan execution, strategic sales planning and business development. Preferably within the pest management and or food safety industries
Analytical abilities as it pertains to sales figures, trends and measuring results, with the ability to provide clear reliable annual sales forecast
This position will require an individual to live in the Midwest Area of the United States.
