Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a background in the construction industry to join our client's growing team. As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring effective financial management, and driving profitability. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing financial strategies to support our growth objectives while managing financial risks.

Hybrid schedule - San Francisco or East Bay
Salary range - $250,000 to $325,000

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the organization, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and guidance in decision-making processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and external auditors.
  • Assess and manage financial risks, including compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls.
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and financing activities.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to inform financial strategies and decisions.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies, policies, and procedures to drive the company's overall financial performance and growth.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience as a CFO or similar leadership role within the construction, engineering or land development industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience working for a company with a revenue of $100 Million or more.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
