Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Project Controls & Scheduling Program Manager is to develop and organize the internal project controls and scheduling program to support multiple projects on successful execution. The Project Controls Program Manager provides the knowledge, skills, and experience required to develop and expand the current methods of cost tracking to manage the day-to-day field operations on utility-scale solar projects. Employee will work closely with bid development, regional operations management, project management, finance leadership, safety, logistics, quality, commissioning and preconstruction teams in developing detailed project budgets and cost coding structures to ensure project financial performance.

The position requires a proactive self-starter approach, great communication skills, analytical thinking, problem solving abilities, strong computer skills, and extensive experience with cost and scheduling programs. The employee will be working with all levels of Cinterra staff, including executive management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate with Project Management teams to support overall project construction plan for planned activities and value earned
  • Develop and reviews monthly cost and schedule reporting/dashboards for review and discusses with project managers to drive against KPIs.
  • Lead Project cost review meetings with PMs, operations teams and other key stakeholders
  • Responsible for month end activities (i.e. checking cross charging costs and internal hours, project reviews, sales and billings variance analysis, etc.).
  • Approve budgets for assigned project(s)
  • Integrate cost control software and spreadsheets with Project workbooks monitoring rework, progress and plan vs actual.
  • Report against monthly spend and contingencies allocations
  • Use customer schedule to create project schedule, track project schedule to ensure milestone dates are achieved, documenting any schedule concerns to the project team and customer.
  • Provide a weekly project forecast and coordinate with the team on any needed resource adjustments.
  • Identify risk to project and develop plans to mitigate, work with regional construction teams to identify risks to project and develop plans to mitigate.
  • Lead and facilitate relevant project meetings, providing summary reports and inputs
  • Provide support and assistance to other Cinterra divisions as needed.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, associate team members
  • Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, (or similar degree program) or equivalent site execution experience
  • 15+ yrs Construction project experience with cost, schedule and contracts. (Solar experience preferred).
  • Excellent and effective communication skills. Ability to convey the appropriate amount of detail for the required audience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Problem-solver with effective time management skills, understands how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience using project scheduling software such as MS-Project, Primavera P6 or other related industry scheduling tools
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office programs
  • Familiar with Local code, AHJ standards, and NEC code, NFPA 70E Certification (preferred)
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations (required), OSHA training and certifications (preferred)
