Messenging Engineer

Job Title: Messaging Engineer (Contract) - Job# 3917

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid Onsite)

Job Description: Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Messaging and Microsoft Exchange Online Engineer focused on managing their global environment of over 360 brands and 20K mailboxes. This role will manage and support all message technologies including but not limited to email and security, O365, and Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the team to deliver projects and execute strategy
• Provide operational support for all messaging related technologies
• Customer support skills
• Work on internal request and support tickets
• Troubleshoot mail flow and connectivity issues
• Proactively seek out service improvements opportunities
• Manage and support email security technologies
• Participate in after hours on call support rotation
• Travel required up to 10% of the time (domestic)

Required:

• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc

• Knowledge of Exchange resource forest designs
• Knowledge and understanding of email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)"
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing and supporting Exchange Online in a hybrid environment
• Experience working in a Microsoft Office 365 environment
• Experience performing mail migrations
• Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, etc...
• Knowledge of Exchange resource forest designs
• Knowledge and understanding of email security standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
• Experience with Proofpoint or similar gateway security technologies
• Experience with SMTP relay
• Experience supporting Microsoft Teams is preferred
• Experience with email to fax technologies is preferred
• Experience with Windows AD and Azure AD is preferred
• Experience working with Service Now or equivalent ticketing system preferred
• Effective communication skills
