Description:
- Provide engineering oversight for complex embedded systems designs.
- Support electrical hardware/firmware architecture design, development and test activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise in complex microprocessor based designs, FPGA/CPLD/ASIC, analog, electrical schematics, and firmware development.
- Provide subject matter expertise in embedded hardware design, development, and test in digital and analog circuit design.
- Leads hardware architectural designs to ensure all requirements are met.
- Serves as hardware subject matter expert (SME) for peer reviews on hardware/circuit card designs and board layout.
- Verifies all hardware architectural requirements are satisfied.
- Leads HDL firmware architectural designs to ensure all requirements are met.
- Serves as SME for reviews on firmware designs.
- Verifies all firmware architectural requirements are satisfied.
- Leads Junior Engineering staff in the development and testing of embedded avionics on MIL-SPEC flight-worthy hardware.
- Travels to customer sites to support hardware/software integration testing in customer System Integration Labs and/or Fielded System/Aircraft.
- Requires a Bachelors or a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree field with related experience.
- 7 years: Embedded hardware design and test of digital and analog circuits. Schematic and PWB design targeting embedded circuit boards such as VPX/SOSA.
- Embedded firmware design and development skills targeting embedded FPGAs/CPLDs.
- Leading hardware/firmware architecture design and development teams for embedded systems.
- Leading embedded systems test planning and execution to ensure all program requirements are met.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
