The successful applicant will join five academic physicians in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases with expertise in many areas including antimicrobial stewardship, global health, infection prevention and control, pediatric tuberculosis, transplant ID, and vaccinology, and a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons accredited ID training program. Within the clinical mandate of the Department and Division, the successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient consultation. The position will comprise approximately 95% clinical service and 5% administration. This locum will run for a variable period, from two weeks up to six months.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an MD and have completed a specialty residency in Pediatrics and pediatric Infectious Diseases. The applicant must be eligible to obtain a specialist license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) and hold appropriate liability coverage.
