The Position
Sales professional who solicits new commercial business and maintains current commercial accounts by establishing and maintaining a strong business rapport with major, nationwide Design Build Contractors. Bids, negotiates and assists owners, superintendents, national design build contractors and/or construction managers for contracts for highly specialized commercial construction projects for purchase and installation of all types of overhead doors and loading dock equipment.

Bids, negotiates and assists owners, superintendents, national design build contractors and/or construction managers for contracts for highly specialized commercial construction projects for purchase and installation of all types of overhead doors and loading dock equipment.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Work directly with architectural firms, owners, superintendent, national design build contractors to quote and specify proper OHD products and equipment.
- Proficient comprehension of building construction plans (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security) and specifications - take offs
- Negotiate commercial bids and price, and follow up concerning submitted proposals.
- Interact with OHD regional managers, distributors and contractors to locate professional, highly-skilled installers and manage the installation of OHD product.
- Supervise projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established plans, specifications, codes, schedules and budgets
- Order product and interact with Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal and Credit departments regarding essential customer requirements and timely delivery of product.
- Remain in contact on a regular basis with all parties concerned with the project (owner, contractor, production facilities) by communicating schedules, plan deviations and project flow.
- Extensive on-site reviews to meet and assess project with ODC distributor, general contractor, superintendent and/or architect at jobsite.
- Communicate and manage both the customer's expectations of the company and the company's expectations of the customer.
- Process all invoicing to proper parties and credits to installers
- Review and/or prepare closing documents, legal contracts, state and local licenses, warranties and project manuals.
- It is an essential function of this job to show up on time and be ready to work your regularly scheduled hours.
Other Responsibilities
- Receive calls from owners, contractors, customers and architects concerning technical and specification questions and proper product to install.
- Answer general and technical questions from the national account and nation serve teams on a regular basis.
- Provide Monthly sales forecasting to manager.
Qualifications
Skills/Experience Requirements
- 1 - 3 years building development experience.
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in Building Commercial Product industry in Sales position or Account Management.
- Experience with Door Products a plus
- Prior exposure to large construction projects a plus

Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of four years related experience and/or training
