Job Description:
The candidate will support implementation and development of digital signal processing of Ultra-Wide Bandwidth software defined radio (SDR) systems utilizing open standards such as VITA 49.2 and SOSA, and define guidance for future development and standardization. Responsibilities include: oversee the development and integration of digital signal processing algorithms across heterogeneous hardware platforms (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, FPGAs, etc.) for SDR systems; generate software development roadmaps/strategies and cost estimates for RF intensive systems; test and evaluation engineering of RF systems; oversee and define requirements for software development activities associated with RF signal collection and analysis; evaluate emerging technologies and standards for use in SDR systems; and conduct countermeasures and vulnerability analysis for RF systems.

Job Description:

Required Education and Experience:
- BS in an engineering or related technical field with 8+ years minimum experience
- GPU/GPGPU programming experience (using OpenCL, CUDA, etc.)
- Experience modeling and using modeling tools (using CAMEO)
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting complex hardware/software intensive systems
- Radio Frequency System on Chip (RFSoC) and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development experience (VHDL)
Required Skills:
- Experience developing technical reports and presentations
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with design and/or testing of RF devices and communication systems
- Familiarity with security features associated with RF communication systems
