Position Description

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions

The PM will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the online training course. The PM will stay abreast of telehealth regulation, policy, licensure, credentialing and reimbursement to train and provide technical assistance on the adoption, implementation and effective use of telehealth as well as manage the social media presence of the TexLa TRC.
  • Respond to technical assistance (TA) queries related to telehealth.
  • Develop and refine Telehealth/Telemedicine outreach and educational support materials.
  • Update Telehealth/Telemedicine practice adoption measures for providers, comparable to best practices across various existing and established programs.
  • Materials will be adapted and updated based on frequent TA topics including, but not limited to:
    Waiver policies and reimbursement guidance
    Informed Consent
    Licensure
    Billing and Reimbursement
    Telehealth Technology and Platforms
    HIPAA Privacy and Security
  • Provide competency-based clinician training through the Frontiers in Telemedicine training facility. Courses include: The Frontiers in Telemedicine Certificate Course; Frontiers in Telemedicine Online Course with Live Q&A; and High School Telemedicine Course.
  • Develop content to maintain up-to-date website with telehealth resources linking to the National Consortium of Telehealth Resource Centers website.
  • Disseminate information on the role of telehealth, the surge in adoption, and the role of the TRCs via video/webinars/publications.
  • Host various presentations including for the National TRC Webinar Series.
  • Represent TexLa on various workgroups, committees, and at different events.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Telehealth education
  • Experience implementing training courses
  • Experience creating educational materials


Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
