Sales Representative position overview

This sales Representative's primary responsibility will be following up on leads, cold calling, prospecting, and building relationships that will increase account penetration, customer satisfaction, and positive patient outcomes.

Product

Argos Cardiac Output Monitor (https://retiamedical.com/our-solution/argos-monitor/): This FDA-approved system detects important changes in a patient's hemodynamic status and enables immediate clinical intervention.
  • Product value: Argos Cardiac Output Monitor features multi-beat analysis (vs. single beat analysis) for consistently accurate cardiac output measurements, has ten parameters it checks for increased accuracy, is easy to set up (1 minute), easy to train clinicians (5 minutes), and leverages a patient's existing arterial line for uninterrupted monitoring. It is compatible with over 40 EMR systems, reduces the incidence of costly complications and avoids the cost of disposables.

Minimum Requirements (required experience)
  • Experience selling into the hospital
  • Demonstrated track record of high performance in sales (territory growth, quota attainment, awards, promotions, etc.)
  • Must be able to learn and quickly master the product, specifications, and key performance advantages as they relate to clinical practice
  • Must be able to travel overnight as needed within the territory
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and sufficient computer skills to maintain a sales database/relationship management system
  • Must have or be willing to update all immunizations to comply with hospital vendor requirements
  • Comfortable working for a start-up organization


Ideal attributes/experience (preferred but not required)
  • Experience selling into procedural settings (Operating Room or ICU is ideal)
  • Experience successfully launching new products / selling new products to new accounts
  • Knowledge of hemodynamics and clinical practices in the care of critically ill and high-risk surgical patients
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related health-care field


Responsibilities
  • Following up on leads, cold calling, prospecting, and building relationships will increase account penetration and customer satisfaction.
  • Must initiate and take ownership of the principles of territory management, including account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation, and ongoing service and training support.
  • Arrange appointments, make presentations, organize conferences, and support and maintain positive arrangements with all clinicians and customers.
  • She/he must keep up with the latest clinical data supplied by the company and present and discuss this data with health professionals during presentations.
  • She/he must maintain detailed computerized records of all contacts and progression through the sales funnel.
  • Work with Retia to plan how to approach contacts and create effective business plans for a particular sales area.
  • She/he will be required to attend company meetings and presentations.
  • They may be required to travel outside their geographical assignment and perform other duties as requested.


Compensation Information

  • Base salary: $85-100K (DOE)
  • Commission / variable incentive: $100K
    • Uncapped commission plan
  • First-year earnings expectation: $185-200K
