Quality Engineer works as an individual contributor to set and achieve objectives for own area of responsibility. Influences process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Programming and measure on a coordinate measuring machine
  • Internal auditing in support of certification, regulatory, and customer audits
  • Responsibility in improving internal and external manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and test processes to reduce and prevent defects and prevent quality escapes to our customers.
  • Responsibility providing quality engineering support, conduct technical investigations, perform relentless root cause analysis, and implement immediate risk containment measures and systemic mistake proof solutions to improve quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Responsible for interpretation of technical drawings and technical specifications into quality inspection plans, specifications, and work instructions
  • This position requires strong oral communication skills and computer skills with the ability to summarize complex issues into executive level presentations.
  • This position also requires the successful candidate to be an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will interface cross functionally within operations/ manufacturing / design / procurement / and the supply base.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
  • CMM Operator of PC DMIS programs required


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience with tools and techniques related to Process Certification, root cause analysis, mistake proofing, and reduction of quality escapes
  • ACE / Lean manufacturing principles knowledge and application
  • Experience with Window based applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • ASQ certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt and/or RedX experience
