This key role offers the opportunity to lead a growing team and play a vital part in ensuring the successful procurement of materials and accurate cost estimation for their multi-million dollar residences.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage a team of two Purchasing Agents/Estimators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Create comprehensive preliminary budgets for new construction projects, leveraging market knowledge to secure the best pricing for materials and services.
- Oversee the contract negotiation process, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Develop and implement cost-control measures to optimize project profitability.
- Generate accurate and timely reports to forecast project budgets and identify potential cost variances.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, designers, and project managers, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships, fostering open communication and competitive pricing.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a construction management role, leading and mentoring a team.
- Proven success in creating preliminary budgets and cost estimations for high-value projects.
- In-depth understanding of current market rates for building materials and services.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable contract terms.
- Experience with job costing, project reporting, and financial forecasting.
- Experience in residential construction, with a preference for high-end luxury homes. Experience in production homebuilding (volume) is a plus.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (Buildertrend a plus).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship support now or in the future.

Compensation package:
- Competitive salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)
- Bonus potential up to 15% of yearly salary (evaluated at year-end)
