The Principal Engineer will be the primary interface responsible for coordinating the engineering activities to process Change Requests and/or support the engineering validation of Work Transfers associated with the following types of projects: Security of Supply, REACH Compliance, and Cost Reduction.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the Integrated product team, Product Line Engineering, Program Engineering, Cost Reduction Group, Supply Chain Organization, etc. to define the engineering plan, create Basis of Estimates, seek approval, and coordinate the execution of engineering tasks
  • Lead meetings ensure the right stakeholders are invited, clear objectives are established with a clear agenda, minutes & actions are taken
  • Work across the projects to drive a more disciplined approach of action item management and tracking
  • Work with teams to develop Level 3 schedules in MS Project and assess and manage critical path
  • Set up and maintain a risk and opportunity management process for specific projects / programs
  • Coordinate and support dev and/or certification testing for various components
  • Lead or support Root Cause & Corrective Action investigations
  • Participate in meetings at the working level, senior management level, as well as get exposure to executive level meetings.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Engineering and Project Management experience
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Supply chain and/or operations is preferred
