We're currently looking for an excited and talented Sr Program Manager III to help us push our organization forward by helping us in the following ways:
- The Program Manager in accordance with BCS and PMI standards, as the business leader to accomplish project objectives and to manage the project from business award to successful new product launch to ensure customer satisfaction.
- This position is expected to deliver financial commitments by overseeing issues relating to quality and cost, as well as controlling the budget, tracking financial status, and adhering to the program schedule with set customer milestones.
- The PM & NPLM will steer information concerning project issues within BCS by creating awareness and driving resolution within the involved projects team Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing. The position will coordinate and manage the interface with customers and suppliers to foster clear understanding of the requirements and deliverables including new component purchasing and supplier requested changes
- They will also retain responsibility for product after launch to ensure performance to minimum standards for productivity, quality, warranty, purchasing, profit, and other similar metrics, and pursue continuous improvement of these metrics.
- The PM & NPLM will make certain that the project is introduced according to the BCS Program Management System and execute APQP safe launch Plans and consistent with central purchasing.
- You will Define and execute commodity strategies in line with the business needs and product line requirements
- The PM&NPLM will nominate global strategic suppliers for new business according to our Purchasing Policy
- Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Realize cost savings and negotiate contractual agreements with the entire supplier base
- Drive VA/VE activities with suppliers to achieve cost reductions and quality improvements
- Analyze the global market and continuous benchmarking of current suppliers
- Monitor market dynamics and technology developments
- Develop strategic suppliers to achieve commercial, quality and logistics targets
- Cooperate with Commodity teams to identify synergies across product lines
- The PM & NPLM will support the New Product Launch (NPL) process from both a Program Management and Purchasing point of view and is an integral part of this process supporting the entire cross-functional teams at BCS
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering or related technical field required.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred Project Management certification preferred
- Previous experience in Purchasing a plus, but a willingness to learn this functional responsibility while on the job and the ability to come up to speed quickly and effectively.
- 5+ years of experience managing projects involving Electrical and Electromechanical products.
- Cross Functional team leadership experience in cradle to grave project execution required.
- Proven leadership skills influencing teams that do not report to the Program Manager.
- Extensive and relevant experience of at least 5 years in sourcing/ procurement management, preferably within the automotive sector
- Essential negotiation and leadership skills, proactive team player, sense of responsibility, self-motivated and goal-oriented attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent internal and customer facilitation, communication, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel).
- Experience with financial analysis related to repetitive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of general manufacturing and design and development processes within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of advanced quality planning tools required in the automotive industry.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
