Since 1997, Centurion has proudly partnered with the Georgia Department of Corrections to provide mental health services. We are excited to announce that we will now also be expanding our services to include medical care. Centurion is actively seeking Primary Care outpatient physicians throughout the state.
Staff Physician: provides medical assessments and evaluations, provides treatment for emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues, provides and supervises medical treatment for chronic medical conditions, and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries of patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director in collaboration with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure that efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one required
Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority
Ability to pass credentialing and background check
