The Manager of IT Infrastructure will lead IT infrastructure and cybersecurity activities with responsibilities for the day-to-day management of enterprise technologies inclusive of device management, network and unified communications, servers, storage, and data center operations, cloud, security, disaster recovery, business continuity, vendor management, infrastructure roadmap and strategy, and service desk. This position is also expected to provide vision, leadership, planning, and coordination for all IT infrastructure and cybersecurity projects and requests. This position partners with the Director of IT Applications to align information technology assets and resources with the company strategic goals and objectives.

The Manager of IT Infrastructure will lead IT infrastructure and cybersecurity activities with responsibilities for the day-to-day management of enterprise technologies inclusive of device management, network and unified communications, servers, storage, and data center operations, cloud, security, disaster recovery, business continuity, vendor management, infrastructure roadmap and strategy, and service desk. This position partners with the Director of IT Applications to align information technology assets and resources with the company strategic goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain infrastructure necessary to support all internal and external users and business partners, maximizing uptime and protection of data.
- Implement security measures to protect the network and information from being compromised.
- Research new technologies and provide leadership and strategic planning related to IT infrastructure and cybersecurity. Promote simplification, standardization, and innovation.
- Partner with other functional leaders in the assessment of infrastructure and cyber requests to determine and manage requirements, scope, resource needs, schedule, and budget.
- Purchase, install, operate, and maintain hardware, software, and cybersecurity tools.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain reliable data backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Manage an effective cybersecurity program, including but not limited to security awareness training, assessments and surveys, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and tabletop exercises, incident response planning, execution, and documentation, and business continuity.
- Work closely with consultants and external partners, owning and managing vendor relationships through regular contact, attendance at events, and other touch points.
- Promptly respond to user technical support needs providing exceptional customer service.
- Recommend, develop, and oversee IT policies, procedures, solutions, and documentation.
- Define, measure, and meet key operational metrics; maintain logs, documentation, and reports.
- Cultivate a high performing team by attracting, retaining, and developing IT professionals focused on business outcomes, leveraging managed services and other partners as appropriate.
- Promote a work environment that fosters teamwork by creating a trusting, collaborative, and ethical work environment that positively contributes to team member engagement.
- Provide effective and appropriate communication related to work status and high impact items to all levels of the organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong knowledge of trends in enterprise infrastructure technologies and hosting options, storage area networks, network technologies such as routers, switches, appliances, VPN, firewall, MPLS, SD-WAN, LAN (Fortinet, Cisco, Dell, HPE), backup technologies (Veeam), communication systems and gateways (8x8, Teams), security systems (Mimecast, Sentinel, RSA).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: operating systems (server and desktop), databases (SQL), and reporting tools (SSRS, SSAS, PBI) along with the Office 365 suite (productivity tools, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, ADFS, Azure Active Directory Services, and SSO).
- Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies and business continuity.
- Project development and management principles, including techniques utilized in performing needs assessment, planning, timelines, resource allocation, logistics, and coordination.
- Ability to manage vendors and negotiate contracts.
- Ability to lead teams and prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently.
- Principles and practices of personnel management and supervision
- Ability to be detail oriented and organized to complete simultaneous complex projects.
- Insurance knowledge a plus.
Qualifications:
Education:
- BS/BA or MS/MA in Computer Science, Information Science/Systems, or related area of study.
- Ongoing studies in IT and cybersecurity-based topics, certifications, and general interest topics.
Experience:
- 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience in IT infrastructure and user support deploying, operating, and maintaining networks, unified communications, security, A/V, servers, storage, desktops, printers, and productivity tools.
- 2 or more years of team-oriented project management.
- 2 or more years in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
