Description:
A Sales Manager is responsible for securing and achieving budget revenue and profit goals for the company, as well as maximizing the sales team to its full potential. This individual operates under limited supervision, and directly reports to the Regional Branch Manager. The Sales Manager is expected to work as necessary to perform duties required.

- Assists in the recruiting of sales team.
- Assists customers in resolving technical issues.
- Achieves growth while hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
- Adheres to Company safety program.
- Builds and promotes a strong, long-lasting customer relationship.
- Develops and implements strategies for gaining and maintaining the regional market share.
- Mentors the sales team and set sales goals in conjunction with budget.
- Monitors the overall and individual performance of sales team.
- Schedules meetings and sales calls with customers, potential customers, and sales team.
- Travel to customer locations and job sites to make sales calls and follow up on customer needs.
- Attends industry exhibits, demonstrations, and networking activities with various trade associations.
- Monitors new product developed by our manufacturers and competitors.
- Ensures literature, brochures, company website, and pricing sheets are organized and up to date.
- Works closely with Credit Manager to resolve credit/payment issues.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Essential:
- Must be proficient with basic computer skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
- Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and fit for duty test.
- Prefer candidates with experience in NexGen, 3-D Lift Plan, PowerPoint, and OSHA 20.
- Prefer candidates with at least a bachelor degree.
- Prefer candidates with at least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in heavy equipment sales.
