Job Description
The Department of Pathology, Division of Laboratory Medicine, at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible pathologist (MD or MD/PhD) at the open rank of Assistant/Associate/Full Professor.
The successful candidate will serve as the Director of Clinical Immunology. In this role, this individual will either have already established national/international recognition in clinical immunology or exhibit significant potential and motivation to establish an academic career in this field. The successful candidate must have completed residency training in Clinical Pathology, have a significant interest in establishing a NIH-funded research program in immunology, and participate in resident, fellow, and medical student teaching. Individuals with current NIH-sponsored research programs are highly encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and completed residency in AP/CP or CP only and be Board-eligible or certified in Clinical Pathology.
Preferred Qualifications
Anyone who is a NIH-sponsored principal investigator is encouraged to apply.
