Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Electrophysiology Piedmont Heart Institute
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for a full time Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our APP-driven team providing Inpatient and some Outpatient services at PHI hospitals & clinics for patients with cardiac arrhythmias. This is a full-time position for our Southside locations including Piedmont Fayette & Newnan Hospitals, working four 10 hour shifts between Monday - Friay. NO night shifts!

We are seeking knowledgeable, highly motivated, and dedicated APPs who have a strong desire to work in an autonomous yet collaborative environment.
Our APPs independently provide specialized care for patients pre and post electrophysiology procedures including but not limited to Electrophysiology Studies, ablations, CIED implantation, and provide recognition / management of diverse cardiac arrhythmias in routine and complex patient populations. As an Electrophysiology APP, you will also become competent in device interrogation and interpretation. This position will require decision-making skills, as ideal candidates will have experience with limited supervision and work well independently.
Responsibilities
Performs high-quality patient assessment and management, under physician supervision, in accordance with federal and state regulations, practicing evidenced based medicine
Willing to go to both PFH and PNH (only one location per day)
Manages direct patient care autonomously on inpatient consult service including rounding, admissions, consultations & discharges with limited Electrophysiologist supervision
Manages direct patient care autonomously on designated outpatient clinics and associated follow up with indirect Electrophysiologist supervision as needed
Provides daily sign out to collaborative PHI team at PFH/PNH
Orders and schedules diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients as direct patient care services are delivered
Works four 10-hour shifts (inclusive of IP and OP responsibilities)
Participates in training of APPs, students and nurses
Demonstrates teamwork by communicating effectively and working cooperatively with all members of the health care team.
Displays respect and fosters an appreciation towards all members of the PHI team

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program
Board Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Holds current license from the Georgia State Composite Board
BLS / ACLS certified
*Ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of experience managing Cardiology and/or Electrophysiology patients.
