OVERALL FUNCTION:
Reporting to the Director of Global Sales Operations, the Business Development Manager, Sports, grows and builds Meyer Sound's sales and market share within the Sports vertical market. This role builds strategic partnerships throughout territory to meet Meyer Sound sales goals. The Business Development Manager, Sports, is a full-time exempt position earning $92,000 - $150,000 annually + commission.

Reporting to the Director of Global Sales Operations, the Business Development Manager, Sports, grows and builds Meyer Sound's sales and market share within the Sports vertical market. This role builds strategic partnerships throughout territory to meet Meyer Sound sales goals. The Business Development Manager, Sports, is a full-time exempt position earning $92,000 - $150,000 annually + commission.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Serves as Meyer Sound's Sports vertical brand ambassador, continuously striving to meet and exceed the needs of our growing customer base.
- Manages, grows, and builds business in Meyer Sound's Sports/Large Scale Venue sales vertical, strengthens partnerships with venues, dealers and consultants throughout the territory in order to meet sales goals.
- Identifies new relationships and opportunities, develops proposals, partnerships, and ultimately drives projects and contract negotiations through to close business.
- Collaborates with a variety of internal teams to establish overall Sports/Large Scale Venue sales and marketing strategy and prioritization for potential business, defining key criteria and actively seeking out opportunities to drive growth.
- Works in conjunction with regional sales managers to build sales pipelines and manage projects. Provides regular updates to the Director of Global Sales Operations, the sales team, and other departments as necessary.
- Supports sales and marketing activities by attending tradeshows, networking events, demos, and promotional events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Global Sales Operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of prior professional audio or AV industry experience. Strong knowledge of Meyer Sound products, technologies and clients including potential clients. Strong knowledge of audio technologies and their application.
- Excellent business negotiation, sales, and business development skills, including strong communication, presentation, and organization skills. Prior experience with sales and proposal planning, technical sales, and contract negotiations.
- Ability to develop and manage a strategic sales plan for a specific region and vertical market. Prior experience selling into the sports vertical market, large scale venues.
- Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and Concur.
- Detail oriented, well-organized with good time management skills, able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Average expected travel is 50-75%.
