Fluor, together with its joint-venture partner AECOM, has been awarded a four-year program delivery support services contract for the California High-Speed Rail program by the California High-Speed Rail Authority, to provide program delivery and program management services to support one of the largest planned infrastructure projects in the U.S.

The system will connect the 500-mile stretch between the Los Angeles region with the San Francisco Bay Area, with up to 24 stations. The first phase of the program is currently under construction in California's Central Valley.

Assists the Project Manager in the management of the project section through the environmental approval process and preliminary engineering (15%) for project definition. Support the Project Manager in managing the regional consultant, responsible for quality, on-time delivery of environmental clearance documents and preliminary engineering.
Assists in managing scope, cost, schedule, and budget
Ensures quality consultant deliverables with the project manager
Coordinate and attend meetings with local agencies and third parties
Support the project manager in developing reports, presentations, conducting research, analyses, identifying issues, recommending solutions, identifying, and mitigating project risks.

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eight (8) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal twelve (12) years if non-degreed

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent
Ten (10) years of experience with transportation projects and disciplines.

Other Job Requirements
Knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of high-speed rail project development and delivery, federal and state contracting laws and regulations; demonstrated experience in project management and managing multi-discipline teams to meet project milestones.
Good knowledge of project management of tunneling projects
