Position Overview
SFM is looking for a high caliber candidate to join our team supporting our Trading Operations. An ideal candidate should have 6-15+ years of industry experience on either the Sell-Side or Buy-Side. Specific hands-on experience building out workflows, applications, or leveraging data/metrics to improve inhouse technology & reduce breaks is preferred. Prior experience in fixed income, multi-strat fund, or bank debit is helpful.

The team works closely with the front-office Portfolio Management and Trade Execution teams on day-to-day trading, as well as our Technology team on both tactical and strategic projects. The Trade Support team has a wide range of responsibility encompassing trade capture, corporate actions, expiries, allocation oversight, and project management. In addition, the team works closely with our out-sourced back-office service provider and administrator on affirmations, settlements, and reconciliations.

Other Key Relationships: SFM Portfolio Managers, Trading Desk, Front Office & Ops Technology, Treasury, Risk Management, Trading Counterparts, Prime Brokers & Custodians, Administrators, Controllers, Legal & Tax

Responsibilities:
Trade Capture & Affirmation oversight
Assist in developing and enhancing our internal Trading, Risk/PNL, and Static Data systems to create a best in brand Trading and Operational platform
Analyze and recognize break trends, system deficiencies, diagnose root causes, and devise solutions that add efficiency and optimize our operations
Resolve position & cash breaks across providers and our fund administrator
Oversee & resolve unmatched and failing trades with the Prime Brokers
Coordinate with key stakeholders on financing queries, ad hoc requests, or trade breaks
Ensure all corporate actions & life cycle events are processed timely and accurately
Monitor real-time PnL within systems and investigate issues

Experience in Sell Side Middle Office or Hedge Fund Trade Support
Experience interfacing with Business Users, Technology Engineers/Developers, and Counterparties (i.e. Executing Dealers, Prime Brokers, Vendors, etc)
Knowledge across equity, fixed income, OTC derivatives & futures is helpful
Experience in trade booking, life-cycle events, and reconciliations
Strong knowledge of Excel
Familiarity working with a Fund Administrator is a plus

Anticipated Salary Range
We anticipate the base salary for this role will be in the range of $120,000 - $140,000.

In addition to a base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive a discretionary year-end bonus.
