Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
Under the direction of the hospital President, the COO develops and directs the operational functions of the hospital consistent with the health system's mission. This position's responsibilities include collaborating with physicians, hospital leadership, and other stakeholders to continually improve clinical quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial results. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services consistent with the values, policies, and procedures of the health system and in a manner which best addresses customer and patient needs. It ensures active engagement of all departmental leaders and coaches and inspires leaders toward their own growth and development including the creation of capable management succession. Establishes and maintains an open, positive working relationship with all stakeholders including board members, physicians, and employees. Ensures the operations comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required with MBA, MHA, or other graduate degree in health-related field strongly preferred. Five or more years previous experience in hospital operations management required.
