Job Description
SCOPE OF POSITION
The Physician Assistant is responsible for providing medical care to outpatient medical practices or emergency department settings as an independent licensed practitioner. The PA will also provide inpatient care in a hospital setting as independent licensed practitioners. The PA will provide healthcare services typically performed by a Physician, under Physician supervision. The PA may also prescribe medication, conduct complete physicals, provide treatment and council patients. For the PA, the scope of practice must be in accordance with the Board of Medical Examiners in the state in which they are practicing. Based on training and experience, the PA may work in medical practices from primary care to medical/surgery specialties and subspecialties.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited PA program. Must be able to be credentialied by various third party payers and also by the applicable medical staff.
Valid and active PA licensure in appropriate state
