For over 15 years, The Dorm has been a mission-driven, client-centered mental health organization that has been bringing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to young adults, ages 18-30. We are looking for a passionate licensed Site Director to join our multidisciplinary team and contribute to our goal of making a difference.
As the senior leader of one of our locations, the Site Director is responsible for ensuring that our model of therapeutic care is implemented daily. Responsibilities include managing and leading the clinical team, working closely with families as needed, supporting the client referral and admissions processes, and overseeing program development.

What You Will Do:
- Oversees clinical programming, services and staff of a Dorm location, under the supervision of Chief Clinical Officer.
- Provides supervision to clinical team/adjunct team individually and at group level around clinical care, client treatment planning, best practices, organization, documentation and time management.
- In conjunction with the admissions team, assists with inquiries of prospective new clients and families including phone calls and providing tours.
- Upon enrollment, ensuring a seamless integration of client and family including assigning appropriate clinical team, review of client schedule, coordination with outside residential partner and communication with referral sources, with client consent.
- Assists in ongoing coordination and updates of clients to outside referral sources, with client consent.
- Helps manage relationships with families to ensure continuous and consistent updates on clients progress and answer questions.
- Provides individual, group and family therapy for The Dorm clients and family members, as applicable (10-15 hours weekly).
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, and uses treatment plans to inform all services.
- Develops ideas around internal and external trainings and facilitates the delivery of ongoing clinical training curriculum for all staff.
- Is responsible for creating and executing major clinical/programmatic development initiatives.
- Is responsible for developing and maintaining appropriate and valuable organizational alliances with outsider partners and referral sources.
- Responsible for site staff planning and development including identifying staffing needs and clinical need gaps to inform recruitment and training.
- Helps facilitate new staff on-boarding and ongoing development.
- Provides "co-facilitator" group supervision on a monthly basis.
- Assists Operations & Marketing in maintaining up to date, referral lists as well as other relevant lists of contacts and referral sources as well as participating in relevant marketing events, as needed.
- Is responsible for making recommendations for clinical policies and procedures and ensures clinical policies and procedures are implemented properly.
- Partners with other organization leadership and business functions to support location development, growth and compliance of policy and procedures including compliance around charting and billing.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Leadership team.
- Participates in On-Call weekly coverage system on a rotating basis up to four times per year.
- Work up to 2 evenings per week.
- Able to work weekend programming on a rotational basis.
What You Need to Qualify:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling or related program in psychology required.
- NY & CT State Licensure in social work or counseling required.
- The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of clinical supervisory and leadership experience.
- The ideal candidate has at least 8 years of related experience in a clinical setting with adolescents or young adults. Having prior experience as a Clinical or Executive Director is a plus!
- Must have a strong business acumen and is able to manage budgets, organizational planning, staff management and strategic development.
