Job Summary:
TheDirector of Sales will oversee and lead the activities of a designated sales territory. The Director of Sales is expected to identify leads and acquire and maintain accounts related to the services offered by Innovative ECMO Concepts. The Director of Sales is a highly independent role within the company and is responsible for ensuring the sales team is providing customer care through continuous, timely responses regarding customer questions and concerns.

Job Summary:
TheDirector of Sales will oversee and lead the activities of a designated sales territory. The Director of Sales is expected to identify leads and acquire and maintain accounts related to the services offered by Innovative ECMO Concepts. The Director of Sales is a highly independent role within the company and is responsible for ensuring the sales team is providing customer care through continuous, timely responses regarding customer questions and concerns.
Compensation:
- The base starting salary is $100,000 per year
- Variable compensation with opportunities to make commissions and bonuses
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Product Knowledge: Become an expert on the staffing solutions you're selling, understanding the benefits and applications. Know all of IEC's ECMO, Perfusion and OPO offerings
- Prospecting: Identify and Qualify potential customers such as hospitals or OPO's who would benefit from IEC services.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers, including Physicians, APPs, Perfusionists, ECMO Coordinators and Specialists, and Procurement Officers. Meeting with clients in-person and over the phone to stay updated on their needs
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations that showcase the value proposition of your services, addressing the specific needs and challenges of your prospects
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contract, and terms of sale to secure profitable deals while meeting the needs of both the customer and your company
- Closing Sales: Close deals and achieve sales targets by effectively addressing objections, overcoming hurdles, and providing solutions that meet customer requirements
- Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to customers post-contract, including training, troubleshooting, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitive activities, and regulatory changes in the staffing industry to adapt sales strategies accordingly
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts, providing regular reports to management
- Collaborate: Consults with the executive and clinical operations team to ensure service needs that are provided reflect or will meet expected sales trends
- Attends and actively participates in regional and national sales meetings. Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.

Reporting: This position will report directly to the Vice President of Sales (Nicole Roberts) or designee.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Thorough understanding of the sales process and dynamics within the field of extracorporeal life support.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Working with all hospital employees, physicians, co-workers, and community professionals requires excellent communication skills.
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop relationships with existing and potential customers quickly.
- Ability to compile information into unified reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data trends.
- Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, or a related field with an emphasis in mathematics or statistics is highly preferred.
- A competitive record of sales leadership experience is required.
- At least five years of sales experience required
- Prior remote work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to communicate and perform in stressful situations effectively.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
