JOB SUMMARY
This role will be supporting a major natural gas customer in the Beaumont/Port Arthur Texas area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Perform controls commissioning tasks such as regular system maintenance, equipment calibration, repair and/ or replacement of controls software, hardware, and instruments.
- Perform control software upgrades, includes development support with Home Office.
- Perform combustion tuning.
- Serve as the key technical resource for the customer.
- Maintain a documented history of all changes or modifications for covered equipment. Ensure that changes are implemented across operations as quickly as possible.
- Develop KPIs jointly with company that include all the elements of the duties.
- Ensure that the M&D services are current and comprise all the known and anticipated degradation and failure modes of the covered equipment with respect to your discipline.
- Train company engineers and technicians through practical experience. Prepare an evergreen structured on-the-job training program in collaboration with the company which covers operation, performance, condition monitoring, and maintenance of the covered equipment.
- Mentor company staff on prompt troubleshooting and analysis of issues.
- Work with the company to develop maintenance schedules associated with your discipline, to optimize covered unit reliability and availability.
- Comply with contractor and company outage planning process and deliverables.
- Conduct detailed maintenance planning, pre-outage, outage, and post-outage planning activities with the company.
- Prepare detailed work scope for your discipline for each agreed outage.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or other related field
- Mark VIe Intermediate
- Mark VIe Control Systems - Familiarization (Advanced Viewer)
- Control System - Mark VIe Intermediate (Advanced Viewer)
- Control System - Mark Ve/VIe Troubleshooting (Advanced)
- Control System - Mark VIe Maintenance (Advanced)
- Intro to Mark Vies Functional Safety System
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM's EHS Training Matrix
Skills/Experience
- 7 + years of experience creating, modifying, simulating, implementing, field testing and troubleshooting logic sequences as well as Human Machine Interface (HMI) screens and interfaces on General Electric Mark controllers (MarkVe, MarkVI, MarkVIe). Workload knowledge of MarkV-HMI systems also required. Knowledge of MarkV-IDOS, Ovation or Siemens Control Systems (T3000, TXP) a plus
- Utilizing appropriate design and analysis tools as necessary, such as control systems sequence builders and compilers, control system simulators, HMI screen editors, HMI consoles and controls, data gathering and reduction (HMI historian, PI, Matlab, MS Office, etc.), scheduling, reporting and others
- 5+ years of experience of Gas Turbine general architecture and design, working knowledge of GT support and ancillary systems such as fuel delivery, purge, instrument air and hydraulic supplies, understanding of associated limits and alarms and ability to troubleshoot and correct issues
- 5+ years of experience with instrument calibration procedures and typical tasks associated with recommissioning of GT after inspection, ability to perform associated hands-on fieldwork.
- 3+ years of experience solving technical or organizational problems on cross-functional teams, with advanced skills in communications and documentation.
- 3+ years of experience persuading and presenting technical topics to peers, higher management, and client.
- Multilingual candidate is a plus.

- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm
- Repetitive motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Close visual acuity required to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes
- Subject to environmental conditions as work activities occur inside and outside
- Subject to noise: There is sufficient noise involved which can require shouting in order to be heard above ambient noise level
- Subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
- Frequent close quarters, crawl spaces, and other areas that could cause claustrophobia. The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways
- Being able to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.
- Requires travel (air & ground) with short notice
