Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mohs Surgeon to join our dynamic team in the Department of Dermatology. As a Mohs Surgeon, you will play a pivotal role in our clinical, research, and educational efforts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide outstanding patient care, contribute to cutting-edge research, and educate future generations of medical professionals.
Research Efforts: Dermatologist will be able to collaborate with our on-site clinical studies unit, conducting phase 2 & 3 clinical trials. Additionally, there is opportunity to work within our esteemed Center for Dermatologic Research, in investigator-initiated research in partnership with research fellows & renowned dermatologist, Dr. Steve Feldman.
Educational Efforts: Faculty physician will play a vital role in educating & mentoring medical & PA students, and residents from Dermatology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, & Family Medicine. Opportunities to teach within Wake Forest University School of Medicine in the pre-clerkship or clerkship curriculum will be available. Leadership opportunities within our Dermatology residency program will be available for consideration.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Dermatology.
- Fellowship training in Mohs surgery and/or dermatologic surgery.
- Valid medical license and the ability to practice medicine in NC
- Strong clinical acumen and proficiency in diagnosing and treating skin cancer.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of dermatology.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and publish scientific papers.
- Prior experience in teaching and mentoring medical trainees is desirable.
