GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
The Nurse Practitioner Oncology Services works within a collaborative model to provide quality care and to improve patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care in all settings for cancer patients, families, and staff in both the hospital and physician practice settings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Accurately performs history and physicals for patients. Utilizes sound clinical judgment based on best practice when implementing the therapeutic regimen.
2. Documents all care provided, including pharmacological dispensing, in an accurate manner.
3. Completes patient discharge planning and education; writes appropriate orders and prescriptions. Performs patient education and counseling to promote wellness.
4. Evaluates patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions in relation to outcomes. Documents patient's response to interventions.
5. Maintains accurate, legible, and confidential medical records in accordance with federal and state laws.
6. All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Two years' experience as an Nurse Practitioner in a physician practice setting and/or related nursing experience
Preferred: Three (3) years Nurse Practitioner experience in specific area of practice (i.e. Oncology office).

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
- Education Master Degree
Certificate Program
Nurse Practitioner - Credential Delaware State Certification/License
Advanced Practice RN - Controlled Substances Registration
Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner within 3 year
Basic Life Support
EXPERIENCE:
