As a Workday Systems Analyst, reporting into the Manager, People Systems, you will be the expert in the functional usage and back-end configuration of two or more modules within our HRIS (Workday). Your role will involve helping to maximize the system's potential for other members of the HR team and Rioters at large. You will demonstrate a commitment to data integrity and confidentiality, as well as train those around you, making you a key player in promoting standard methodologies. Your analytical skills, interpersonal abilities, and dedication to your customer groups will showcase the value that robust data and systems can bring to our work processes. Additionally, you will play an essential role in identifying, selecting, and implementing new HR systems, modules, and functionalities. We are seeking a self-starter who is comfortable collaborating with various stakeholders and teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Partner with and consult HR functions to address business needs, from ideation to implementation, including translating high-level HR business requirements into functional specifications
- Configure, test and support Workday modules, from day to day small changes to larger cyclical projects (e.g. Building Journeys, Learning Campaigns, annual performance review cycles, building out skills cloud program etc.) and all associated project management tasks
- Provide recommendations for implementing new functionality provided by vendors via upgrades, patches, and releases
- Review existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities based on good practices or automation
- Perform regular system monitoring and periodic audits, verifying the integrity and availability of the system, data feeds, and key processes, reviewing system notifications and logs
- Execute mass data changes as needed utilizing data load tools when applicable
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials of operational, configuration and/or other procedures
- Perform training or change management for new functionality
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Business, Human Resources, or a related study, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience supporting Workday Performance/Talent Management and Workday Learning & Development.
- Knowledge of at least one additional Workday HR cross functional group such as Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking etc..
- Ability to interpret and/or discuss complex information with others in a clear way, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people.
- Experience leading the end-to-end project management tasks associated with a cyclical Workday Program (e.g. Performance Review Process).
- Strong customer service orientation skills.
- Able to work on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrates ability to build relationships, resolve problems, remove barriers, & communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in other programming, scripting and markup languages such as Python, HTML, XSLT, EIBs
- Experience with process improvement by successfully identifying, proposing, documenting, & implementing streamlined processes.
- Experience with low-code integration solutions, reporting and analytics such as Workato and Prism.
