JOB TITLE: Senior Systems Engineer Team Lead

Exempt Position

REPORTS TO: Director Information Technology

DEPARTMENT: Administration

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for delivering high caliber customer service to the business while providing leadership and direction within the IT systems group encompassing Customer development, QuickNet and its adjacent applications, NuGlu, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and ConfigureOne,. The Team Lead will represent the team in communications with the business and all levels of support when necessary.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in strategy planning activities, and be coordinate the analysis, requirements development, design, documentation, and testing for custom developed systems as well as interfacing with JDE and its related systems.
  • Work closely with the Business Unit's (BU) functional representatives in the development of simplified/lean process improvements or operating practices which best utilize the systems to improve quality; increase productivity; and supports business goals.
  • Develop peer, cross-functional & cross-BU relationships to maximize best practice sharing & team effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of project tasks and activities within functional area by directing activities of others as well as maintaining individual project responsibilities.
  • Act as the functional change agent by creating a sense of purpose to meet the goals of the business & leading by example.
  • Own issue / risk identification, escalation, resolution and communication with the project team and functional management including BU functional leaders.
  • Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards & practices & promote their creation.
  • Analyze the BU's competitive position in the use of technology in relation to industry best practices.
  • Prepare, present & review overall plans, status reviews and reports as required by project and with BU responsible.
  • Ensure the policies and procedures for the group are maintained and followed using ITL and SDLC


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong knowledge of good practices, software design principles, SOLID and OOP principles, and software development lifecycles including Agile.
  • Experience with one or more of the following technologies / frameworks (or similar):
    • ASP.NET Core (2.2+ or 3.0+) with Entity Framework Core, Angular2+ (JavaScript framework), MS SQL and Oracle DB
  • Strong understanding of relational database design. Ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Basic understanding of good practices for UI / UX design and user flow.
  • Experience with JDE software development tools. Ability to create complex Orchestrations utilizing the Orchestrator tool in JDE, UX-One
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Office 365 products (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).

  • JD Edwards ERP software experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to sit 7+ hours a day.
  • Ability to sit or stand 3+ hours a day.
  • Ability to walk 2+ hours a day.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder height and below waist.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Ability to travel 20% -25% of the time to other locations.


The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes and/or mandatory hearing protection.
