WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Once selected to join our team, you will:
- Assist with the execution of project tasks such as coordinating with state and local municipalities to secure necessary certifications and permits for SUE work in their jurisdictions.
- Assisting with the project financial processes.
- Assisting in preparation of proposals.
- Limited client interaction.
- Assisting with overseeing the technical staff.
- Assist with resource scheduling for technical staff on your team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Serve as an introductory position into project management.
- Be actively involved in the project design and production process.
- Begin to gain experience in project and client management with oversight from a Sr. Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Sr. Project Manager.
- Ensure that your project tasks remain accurate and on schedule.
- Gain staff management experience, which includes assisting the DL 2 with overseeing the technical staff and resource scheduling.
- Assist with proposal preparation and billing.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE:
- Civil 3D, Microstation, or discipline-specific software.
- Proficient in Dunaway CAD standards.
- Proficient in Dunaway design standards.
SKILLS:
- In-depth technical knowledge of line of business.
- Basic understanding of project financial and performance metrics.
- Ability to manage multiple project tasks at a time.
- Excellent decision-making skills.
- Ability to recognize what your limitations are.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of SUE experience.
- 5+ or more years of civil design experience.
- 1+ years of experience as a P.E. or 8 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree.
- 0-2 years project management experience.
- 0-2 years client interaction experience.
- 0-2 years of experience in oversight of technical staff.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university or 8 years of relevant civil design experience without a degree.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
