Description:

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD ("The HARRIS CENTER") is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Provides early childhood intervention services including initial evaluations and reassessments of child development and speech language pathology services to infants and toddlers 0-3 years old. Responsible for a caseload to provide Speech Language Pathology. Requires travel to child's home or other community site and flexible working hours.

Your Role in Action:
  • Assesses development for initial and annual eligibility.
  • Reassesses development and ongoing progress in order to meet child and family needs.
  • Develops initial Individual Family Service Plans [IFSP] with team members including the family.
  • Reviews IFSPs every 6 months and annually
  • Documents every contact and attempts to contact families electronically.
  • Submits electronic documentation according to agency policy.
  • Meets requirements to comply with ECI procedural safeguards and confidentiality.
  • Meets ECI and agency required training policies.
  • Meets requirements to renew speech language pathologist license.
  • Provides SLPA and SLP CFY mentoring speech supervision.
  • Provides speech language pathology services based on the child's IFSP goals.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:
  • Master's degree.

Experience:
  • Experience working with children 0-3 years old preferred.
  • Must have well developed interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills and be a team player with a desire to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively at all levels within the organization.

Other Key Qualifications:
  • Requires licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of TX.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment.
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
