Job Overview:
In this role you will partner directly with our Chief Marketing Officer and our global Marketing Leaders to drive global, strategic people initiatives across all levels in the organization. The individual in this role must understand the business priorities and translate them into an HR plan that supports the business. In partnership with marketing leadership and the People Team, you will assess capability and needs in the areas of management development, career development, performance management, compensation and talent acquisition, and drive appropriate solutions in these areas. You must be able to collaborate and influence leaders at all levels through excellent communication skills, data driven analytical thinking and ability to perform in a fast paced and ambiguous environment. This role reports to the VP of Global Business Partners.

Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level. This role's targeted hiring base salary range is between $126,400 and $158,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable pay, equity, and benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Build a partnership with executives, leaders and managers across the marketing organization to develop an understanding of their business, their goals and their challenges in order to drive organizational performance and improve and maintain the quality of team culture.
- In partnership with the People Team, supports the design, development and execution of critical People initiatives and work streams to include, organization design, employee engagement action planning, workforce planning, compensation initiatives and performance reviews..
- Analyze people metrics and bring a data driven approach to influence leadership and proactively identify people trends that can optimize for both employee and business performance.
- Coach senior leaders and managers to navigate the complexities of managing teams, topics to include understanding total rewards, managing career development, developing a high performance culture, and providing conflict resolution strategies to employee relations issues.
- Be a champion of Coursera's culture and values, consulting with senior business leaders on strategic initiatives, working with cross-functional groups and the People team to solve complex organizational challenges, and be an integral part of the client's leadership team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in a Human Resources role with recent experience as a People Business Partner supporting a marketing or GTM senior executive.
- Experience working in a fast-paced company where the business is constantly evolving and works comfortably within high levels of autonomy.
- Experience working with data from diverse sources and proactively turning data into insights to drive the business forward.
- Demonstrated experience and a passion for strong collaboration with others (People team COEs, cross-functional partners, PBP peers, etc.) to support a high performance culture.
- Demonstrated ability to influence multiple stakeholders with competing priorities, managing complexity and implementing People programs. Proven ability to drive change management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Business and HR acumen, ability to understand business strategies and use organizational development, talent management and other HR interventions to translate knowledge into appropriate HR and management actions.
- Effective consulting skills, ability to coach and influence senior executive leaders, able to present practical solutions that are heard, understood and supported.
- Proven collaborator, managing multiple inputs and delivering solutions with a one-team mindset.
- Ability to maximize relationships and communicate constructively when offering quality advice, counsel and insights
- Outstanding listening and communication skills and demonstrated ability to use feedback to learn, change and grow
