JOB PURPOSE

The Project Manager responsibilities include project scope, schedule, and budget milestones. The individual develops and manages project plans with R&D personnel utilizing JJE Project. The Project Manager ensures projects meet deadlines, communicates effectively to suppliers, and assigns quality documentation to ensure the new model or project launch satisfies JJE Standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead cross functional development team from existing internal and external resources execution of all project deliverables, assignment of project priorities, and closure of project open issues with limited support
  • Develops the execution strategy and project plan for product development projects with limited support
  • Serves as the central point of communication for the cross-functional product development team from initial concept to sustainment
  • Effectively communicate project status, timeline, project risks and mitigation plans
  • Manages the launch of individual Bill of Materials components through the part development lifecycle from Ideation to Production with limited support
  • Maintains and continuously improves existing NPI processes and procedures, develops new processes and supporting documentation, and trains team members with limited support
  • Plan & lead milestone reviews to business segment Leadership when applicable
  • Track project lessons learned, cost savings initiatives and manage best practices
  • Make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations or similar field, or relative experience
  • Great planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong ability to understand technical product development issues and facilitate the development and implementation of action plans with engineers to resolve problems
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Solid understanding of Supply Chain & Manufacturing Processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in new product development using project gates and/or similar project management methods
  • Strong ability to identify and prioritize project risks and develop and implement effective risk management activities
  • Able to communicate effectively with people of all levels
  • Ability to interpret drawings, bills of materials and develop finished goods
  • Excellent organizational skills must be able to multitask
  • Ability to be a team player willing to take charge or take direction
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience bringing consumer products from idea to production


WORKING CONDITIONS

The job is performed indoors in a traditional, temperature-controlled office setting and in a manufacturing facility. Time will be divided between sitting at a desk (while using a computer or other device) and visiting all JJE owned facilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires the worker to be constantly standing, walking, carrying, twisting, bending, seeing, stooping, balancing, hearing, as well as handling paperwork and using basic hand tools. Worker will regularly be lifting objects weighing up to 75 lbs. Cleaning material and chemicals used regularly.
